The National AIDS Commission (NAC) will convene a stakeholders’
meeting to validate the draft National Operational Plan of the
National Strategic Plan (NSP) 2011-2016, at a meeting to take
place at Victoria Hotel in Maseru on August 24, 2011.
NAC has been facilitating the development of a new National
Strategic Plan (NSP)
2011-2016. The NSP has since been finalized. A National
Operational Plan has also been developed to guide implementation
of the NSP. To date, various stakeholders have been consulted
and have all provided valuable inputs which have been
synthesized into a refined plan.
The developed plan will therefore be presented before
stakeholders for validation and comments and discussions
incorporated for finalization. The way forward for
implementation of the National Operational Plan will be mapped.
Key stakeholders who will participate at the meeting include
representatives from Government Ministries, Civil Society,
Private Sector and Development Partners.
Meanwhile the National Operational Plan is a one year rolling
plan aligned to the priorities and results of the new National
Strategic Plan and it ensure all activities of the NSP are
implemented and monitored by HIV and AIDS stakeholder as
planned.
