The
National AIDS Commission was established by an Act of Parliament
in September 2005. The overall mandate of NAC is to coordinate
the national response towards HIV and AIDS in Lesotho. The
Commission is composed of three organs namely, the Board, the
HIV and AIDS Forum and the Secretariat. The Forum comprises 14
representatives of key constituencies to the national response
and is meant to play an important role for the commission,
serving as the coordination, advisory and advocacy arm of the
Commission. As part of its restructuring programme, the NAC is
currently seeking consultancy services for the review of the
NAC HIV and AIDS Forum as per detailed Terms of Reference
available from The Reception – Room 734 at NAC Office, Maseru
Sun Cabanas starting Wednesday, 19 January 2011.
Hard
copies of the proposals (both Technical and Financial), bearing
the above reference, should be addressed and hand delivered or
posted to the address below by Friday 4th February 2011. The
tender box closes at 10:00hrs followed by a public opening of
technical proposals on the same day at 10:15hrs. Interested
parties are invited to submit in separate sealed envelopes the
technical and financial proposals. Late submissions will not
be accepted.
The
consultancy will review previous work and where necessary
provide updates, build consensus on the recommendations and
develop an implementation framework and plan to strengthen
performance of the Forum.
